Hi We are trying for #1 for last five months. My hubby has a low motility. I think that is a main problem.
My gynaec has tried 2 rounds of clomid and this month I am on femara and got a shot too to induce ovulation.

I am looking for success stories with low sperm motility.
My hubby will be taking twoo more sperm analysis in next one month to confirm infertility.

Please I need some motivation and success stories .
What are the treatment option for my hubby?
We want the shortest and best option except ivf.?
We cant afford ivf as of now/

    Thanks a lot

I am so sorry you and your DH are going through this. I don't know a better option than IVF. We are going through our first round of IVF but my DH has low count and low mobility.

Best of luck to you and feel free to PM me for support if you need it!

My husband was low on all of the things the doctors look for when doing the sperm analysis. We tried chlomid for about 5-6 months then took a break for about 6 months. Then we tried IUI and it worked the first time! I am now 11 weeks along. I dont have any fertitily problems - if you dont either, i would consider IUI before IVF.
    Good luck!

My DH has low sperm motilty and our RE said he isn't doing anymore IUI's or anything until he goes to a specialist to see what is causing the problem. If the specialist can't help us with the low motilty then we only can do IVF. Our RE said my DH has plenty of sperm an the shapes are normal but the movement at times is slow. We're  that we get good news instead of being told we have to do IVF/ICSI because if have to do that we have to save up the money for most of it. Hopeing it is something easy to fix.

My DH is taking lots of stuff to help his count an other things but his motilty of sperm is the main problem now.

What is your DH sperm motilty?

My DH last time was like 40% or just a little above.

Has your DH gone to a urologist to see if he may have Varicocele which can cause sperm problems?

That is what my DH is going to see Oct 30th..

    Good Luck Hun...

 we all get our :bfp: very soon..

I truly hope that all works well for you. I am new to this forum. I too had iui with injectables and unfortunately no success. My DH motility is low with antisperm antibodies. This was our 3rd iui, not consecutively, 2 with clomid and one with menopur. Our doctor is recommending us not do iui anomore and move on to IVF but I can't seem to give up. I really do NOT want to do IVF, especially with the cost! I am not sure what to do anymore.:grr:

Don't give up on iui just yet. Has your husband tried taking clomid? The first RE we visited pushed us straight into IVF b/c he said my DH's sperm was basically useless.
We switched docs, our new doc put him on clomid, and after 3 months his sperm is normal is every category.

We have a male factor issue, too. So, I can relate. You've done a great job by getting to the Dr quickly to obtain a diagnosis.

Proxeed is supposed to be great- my RE reccommended it.

    Clomid also works.

Keep in mind, that it takes 3 months for sperm to be produced, so you'll need to take these for a while.

Honestly, all options cost some money. Our clomid is 60/month and proxeed is the same - I think.

IUI's with injectibles may be something you want to consider trying again. I think those are highly effective, but you do have to be willing to try more than once, KWIM?

Getting him on vitamins and working on any underlying health conditions may be beneficial, too. Have his labs been done: TSH? LH? Testosterone? etc? You should have the results ran past a few different Dr's to get their opinions. Many professionals think motility/morphology can't be changed, but I've read success stories online.

    Accupuncture is an option, also.

Donor sperm IUI's are also used by some couples with male factor.

Good Luck and Hoping Everything works out for you!

Need some opinions please. M wife and I have been trying to concieve for 2 years. I have a 4yr old son from another relationship. My numbers were normal 2 years ago. She went in for some test; HSG was normal, D&C had a bit of endometrosis removed. Her OBGYN had us go to a fertility specialist. He requested another SA. Looking at them under the microscope he didn't even request the count or motility, just the Kruger's. Which came back as 2%. He told me, before even getting her results back from the biopsy, that IVF was our only option. My son was just pure luck. Let me add, that my SA was only after 30 hours befre sexual intercourse. We questioned that and he said it didn't matter. Then her results came back and she's not making the "velcro" for the egg to attach to. So once again only IVF! She is a mess and would like kids now. She's 32 and feeling like she's getting too old. Me, I'm 40. I'm trying to get an appointment with an urologist because I think the RE is pushing the IVF. I've contacted another Dr. at Yale to see if it's possible for us to conceive naturally or with IUI after she gets treatment for the "velcro" thing. Has anyone on here experienced something similiar to this. I've seen some of the DH's morphology improve from reading different threads on here. I'm still positive, but the wife is on needles! Any info would be greatly appreciated.
    Sorry for the long rant.

    Acupuncture

My husband has done acupuncture and Chinese herbs to stimulate healthy sperm count, motility and morphology. The treatments were twice a week and the herbs once a day. The idea is to increase the chi energy in the conception area. I have done acupuncture among other things and we conceived our daughter within 8 months.

    Low Motility

ROX- How low was the motility count? I was devistated today when they told me they could only implant 4,000,000 good sperm today. They basically said there is no hope. They didn't even charge me the full amount because of the low probablity. Isn't that assuring? I am a disaster! Now they want to put DH on drugs to increase motility. That's fine, but the kicker is they won't do an IUI for another 3 months. What a crushing day. I don't think I can wait 3 more months to try another IUI. Between my problems and now the issues with DH, I am questioning if we will ever have a baby. Maybe it's just not in the cards for me.

    Low motility options

    Jessica,

I hear you about IVF, its wicked expensive and very aggressive.

I took a product called Fertility Blend for Women, its what allowed me to have my last 3 babies. Well, they make a man's version as well, it helps motility, numbers, etc. but its all natural. The meds the urologist may give your husband are not natural and could cause side affects, plus there's no mention of how it affects his sperm.

I have spoken with some women who got it for their husbands and they swear by it, it may be worth looking into.

    Prayers to you,
