I purchased the test with 20 strips, with the smiley (positive) and O (negative) after TTC for 3 years and several miscarriages, wanted to see if I actually ovulate and if we can make it work.

Diagnosed with PCOS in 2005, then in 2011 doc said no sign of PCOS (based on blood work and u/s).

Using the kit this month, started period on 5-10-2012 or even 5-11-2012, spotting on 5-10, full flow 5-11...so testing results below..opinions?

    5-19-2012 6am, CD 9/10 (depends on period start)..result O
    5-20-2012 6am CD 10/11.... result O
    5-21-2012 6am CD 11/12 .... result :)
    5-21-2012 9am CD 11/12...result O
    5-21-2012 6pm CD 11/12....result O
    5-22-2012 6am CD 12/13.....result :)
    5-22-2012 7am CD 12/13....result :)
    5-23-2012 6am CD 13/14...result O
    5-23-2012 8pm CD 13/14.....result :)
    5-24-2012 6am CD 14/15.....result :)
    5-24-2012 7am CD 14/15....result O

anyone have any experience or opinions?

    Hi Melissa,

It is not unusual to get 3 days of smileys on the Clearblue digital tests. It happened to me a few times, but I only used these tests as a back up to my Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor and my BBT charting. However, the smiley face Clearblue tests were always accurate for me, and I always got positives at the same time that my CBEFM and BBT charting said I was ovulating. The fact that you got negatives on the same days that you got positives could be a result of diluted urine (that's my best guess). However, I should unfortunately mention that I used these same smiley face tests for seven cycles, and I got positives every month, but my endocrinologist did not think I actually even ovulated those months (women's body's can gear up to ovulate, secrete the LH hormone and get a positive OPK, but then not actually ovulate).

When I finally got my prolactin levels under control (cycles 8 and 9), I once again got positive/smiley face OPK's, had a chemical pregnancy during cycle 8 of TTC, and now I'm pregnant again (hoping and praying that things go well this time  :cross: ).

These digital smiley OPK's definitely do work, and it's not unusual to have 3 days of positive OPK's. Therefore, hopefully you ovulated 12-36 hours after your first positive OPK, and hopefully you will get a BFP this month!! Best of luck to you, and I will be keeping my fingers crossed that you get a BFP this month :cross:
